PROPOSED AMENDMENT 21-CA-3

A proposed change to the Department Constitution, Article XI, Section 6. which now reads:

A majority vote shall be required upon all matters, unless otherwise specifically provided. Votes shall be recorded by Districts on all matters wherein a roll call shall be taken. Each District shall cast its vote in the manner to be provided by the Rules of the Convention, but no Delegate shall be prevented by any rule from casting their vote as they so desire. Alternates may be seated with Delegates at the Department Convention. The Annual Convention shall authorize the appointment of such standing committees of this Department as it deems proper.

To be Amended by: Adding:…”the National Executive Committeeman, the Alternate National Committeeman and all elected Department Officers shall be elected by plurality vote if three (3) or more candidates run for anyone position”, after specifically provided.

When amended, Article XI, Section 6, shall read: A majority vote shall be required upon all matters, unless otherwise specifically provided. The National Executive Committeeman, the Alternate National Committeeman and all elected Department Officers shall be elected by plurality vote if three (3) or more candidates run for any one position. Votes shall be recorded by Districts on all matters wherein a roll call shall be taken.
