Funding For More Veteran Homes
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________Expand the number of State Veterans Homes in Michigan to accommodate the various veteran population centers in the state. A 2016 State of Michigan study that recommended seven Veterans Homes in Michigan resulted in a strategic plan, which has not yet been implemented. There are currently only three veterans homes in Michigan – Grand Rapids, Marquette, and Chesterfield Township.
This priority requires both State and Federal action.
