Establish Green Alerts for Veterans and Service Members at Risk
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________Require the Michigan State Police and other Law Enforcement agencies to spread the word using existing network that a Veteran or Military member is missing and may be in danger of self-harm, to put the public on notice to be on the lookout for said person. This system should be used with great care and with the input of the Veterans or Military member's family. Veterans and active-duty Service Members have a suicide rate higher than the general non-veteran population. The “Green” alert would compliment the current Amber alert and Silver alert system in Michigan controlled by the Michigan State Police.
