2025 Team Registration is Now Open
Key Dates for 2025:
Jan 1-May 15, 2025: Team registration open
May 15, 2025: Insurance purchase deadline
May 15-Jun 1: Team registration and insurance purchases allowed but $200 late registration fee applied to returning teams. New teams must contact Programs Coordinator prior to registering their team IF registering within this time frame.
June 1, 2025: final day to register an American Legion Baseball team, purchase insurance, and pay registration fees for the 2025 season.
June 20, 2025: Deadline for team managers to submit their team roster online and provide district/zone chairman with their team packet.
June 22, 2025: Deadline for District Chairman to hand in team packets to Zone Chairman.
June 24, 2025- 10:00am: Deadline for Zone Chairman to hand in team packets to Department Baseball Chairman.
July 15, 2025: Deadline for Baseball Scholarship application submission.
July 23-26/27, 2025: Department Class A Tournament in Stevensville.
July 23-26-27, 2025: Department Class AA Tournament in Midland.
August 6-10, 2025: Great Lakes Regional Tournament in Illinois
August 14-19, 2025: American Legion World Series in Shelby, NC
PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL
To inculcate in youth a better understanding of the American way of life and to promote the principles of 100 percent Americanism.
To instill in the nation’s youth a sincere desire to develop within themselves a feeling of citizenship, sportsmanship, loyalty, and team spirit.
To aid in the improvement and development of the physical fitness of our country’s youth.
To build for the nation’s future through our youth.

Where to begin, the following is a list of resources to begin the process. Registration for baseball teams begins in January of each year. See the American Legion, Department of Michigan rule book for exact dates each season. Awards are given to players showing sportsmanship and outstanding play
Blake Walther of the Marquette Blues Post 44 team won the 2024 Class A Hal Newhouser Most Valuable Player Award. The 2024 Class AA Ki Ki Cuyler, Most Valuable Player Award, went to the entire Midland Berryhill Post 165 team.
