**FLASH NEW MEMBER COMPETITION**FLASH NEW MEMBER COMPETITION**
FLASH New Member Competition.
Starting February 1st, and continuing through April 15th, ALL Posts in the Department will compete for a top prize of $1,000 awarded to the Post that Recruits the most New Members during the Contest Period.
During this FLASH Competition, a top prize of $1,000 will be awarded to the Post that brings in the highest number of New Members.
A second-place prize of $500 will be awarded to the runner-up.
Here are the Rules of Engagement…
- Contest Begins at 0001 on 1 February 2022
- Contest ends at 2359 on 15 April 2022
- Must be a NEW Member
- A New Member is a Qualifying Veteran who has NEVER been an American Legion Member
- MyLegion is the Official Source of Data
- Postmarks DO NOT count
- Mobilize your Post’s Membership Team
- Conduct Community Recruiting Events in your town and in your Post Home
- In the event of a tie, the winning Posts will share their prize equally

Post Adjutants, are you using MYLEGION.org to process post membership?
Avoid delays when processing membership, save on postage, and send membership straight to national through the mylegion.org portal with online transmittal processing.
The MyLegion portal is the place post adjutants can edit information about members, find members-at-large in the area, track online renewals, and process membership.

Wilson H. Morrison Trophy
The district that first reaches its previous years' membership.
Larry Knox Trophy
District with the highest percentage of current membership compared with its previous years' membership
Any Zone Commander who has all districts reach 100% will be awarded a Department jacket.
